Meet the team at Beachside Orthodontics

She started her orthodontic career in 2016 as a clinical assistant and knew that this was her new passion. From there, she developed her skills in treatment planning and has been treatment consulting since 2017.

Given her extensive knowledge of the clinic, alongside her organisational skills and impressive work ethic, Amanda was the perfect choice to become BSO’s Practice Manager in 2020.

Amanda completed an Honours degree in Photography at the National Art School and her main focus has always been people and the influence of the world around us. Amanda is a believer in high-quality care and is always working to achieve the desired outcome for our patients.

Amanda enjoys travelling her husband Alex and daughter Lola to colder climates and snowboarding around the world and also enjoy relaxing days on the beach.

Her first role was as a dental assistant and receptionist in a busy medical centre in Mosman. During this time, she completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. She then moved into the world of orthodontics and has never looked back.

Kali has been working for Steve for over 10 years now. She initially started as a chairside assistant before deciding that she would like to be on the other side of the chair. After several years of study, she graduated from Newcastle University with a Degree in Oral Health in 2014. She now works full time as a Dental Hygienist at Beachside Orthodontics.

Kali enjoys the rewarding nature of orthodontics and never tires of seeing the patients' amazing end results. The ever-evolving technology and techniques used at Beachside Orthodontics keep her interested and challenged in her work. Kali is a much-valued member of our staff and is popular with both staff and patients.

In her free time, she enjoys training at the gym, doing yoga, spending time with her son and taking her bull terrier Lenny on coastal walks.

Following graduation she moved to regional Tamworth, NSW where she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating highly complex dental cases and medically compromised patients. In addition to this, she was also an oral health advocate, promoting healthy lifestyles and oral hygiene habits to the local primary schools.

Throughout the course of her studies, Elisha took a particular interest in orthodontics, preventative and restorative (fillings) dentistry. Furthermore, Elisha was awarded the highly regarded Dental Hygiene Association of Australia Prize (NSW branch). This prize recognises her incredibly high achievements in Dental Hygiene in NSW.

With her dual qualification in both Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, Elisha also works in a general private practice where she treats all ages in preventative and restorative (fillings) dentistry.

Her gentle approach and exceptionally high standards to clinical work ensures every patient is treated like family.

Outside of her work, Elisha enjoys Pilates, good food and spending time with friends and family.

This is a dual qualification that allows her to practice all aspects of children’s dentistry along with dental hygiene for all ages. She started working with us in the end of 2018 and has been a valuable asset to the practice and our patients ever since.

Teigan was a patient with us as a teenager which inspired her to start her orthodontic journey. A few years later, she did work experience with us and that motivated her to study Oral Health Therapy and eventually work for Beachside Orthodontics.

Teigan has worked with leading Paediatric Dentists, learning dental and patient care over a number of years. This involved cleaning and treating many children’s teeth, whilst also ensuring that her patients felt safe, happy and comfortable within the dental practice throughout the whole process. This is a skillset which she continues to use today in Beachside Orthodontics.

Teigan has a passion for Oral Health and loves to ensure her patients get the best advice on how to keep their mouths healthy and their smiles happy. Teigan’s enthusiasm for oral care has even seen her travel the world and volunteer in dental clinics to assist underprivileged children.

Teigan and her partner Casey have a beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Ralph, and love training him to do fun new tricks.

She began her journey as a clinical assistant and is now Dr Steve's dedicated Treatment Coordinator. Marj loves connecting with new patients and finds great joy in guiding them through their orthodontic journey from start to finish.

With a special interest in speech and myofunctional therapy, Marj is fascinated by the ways these fields intersect with orthodontic care.

Outside the practice, Marj enjoys hiking, snorkelling, and practicing yoga. Her favourite way to unwind is taking her labradoodle for walks up to Long Reef Headland.

She is passionate about helping patients start their orthodontic journey by providing them with in-depth information and making them feel comfortable with their treatment plan.

Before Lauren worked in orthodontics, she got a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Her passion to help others has always been a strong characteristic of hers and we are lucky to have her at Beachside Orthodontics.

When not in the clinic, Lauren can be found walking her beautiful dog Zowie with her family or enjoying time with friends.

As our receptionist, she helps guide patients through every step of their orthodontic journey, making sure they feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive.

With a background in hairdressing, Tash brings excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail—perfect for connecting with patients and keeping everything running smoothly. She’s always happy to answer questions, manage appointments, and lend a helping hand wherever needed.

Outside of work, Tash enjoys bushwalking, swimming at the beach, and staying connected to nature whenever she can.

Holly came to us with a passion for customer service and over the years this has helped so many of our patients through their orthodontic journey. She is always very happy to see patients finish their treatment with a big smile.

In 2020, Holly also completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education. The new skills she developed have given her techniques to ensure that our younger patients having interceptive treatment are at their most comfortable at every stage.

In her spare time, you'll usually find Holly running on Dee Why beach and exploring new places with her Scottish husband and daughter.

Kirsty has experience working in private practices along the Northern beaches, assisting in minor and major dental procedures. Her passion for oral health inspired her to complete her Certificate III in Dental Assisting at the end of 2022.

Prior to working in the dental industry, Kirsty has always been involved in customer service. Her bright personality makes people feel at ease and comfortable in any setting.

In her spare time, you’ll find Kirsty at the beach, camping or exploring new places with her partner and daughter.

With experience in orthodontics since 2022, she enjoys being both chairside with the OHTs and Dr Steve and helping patients at the front desk. Paige loves seeing each patient's transformation — from their first appointment to the exciting moment they complete treatment.

Outside of work, Paige enjoys browsing her local farmers market, swimming in the beachside pools with friends, and never says no to a good coffee afterwards.

With her kind nature and calm approach, she helps make every patient feel welcome and supported throughout their orthodontic journey.

Nicola first discovered her passion for helping people during her early career as a hair transplant assistant. After spending 17 years raising her children, she returned to the workforce in general dentistry as a dental assistant before finding her place in orthodontics.

Outside the clinic, Nicola enjoys walking her family dog, spending time with her loved ones, getting lost in a good book, or relaxing with her knitting. She’s a warm and valued part of our team, and we love the energy she brings to the practice every day.

With a Bachelor of Medical Science completed in 2025, she is now preparing to apply for a Doctorate in Dentistry, with the long-term goal of specialising in orthodontics.

Before moving into orthodontics, Daneesha gained valuable experience working in general and cosmetic dental practices. This background gave her a strong foundation in patient care and a deep appreciation for the impact that a confident smile can have. She enjoys working closely with patients and supporting them through every stage of their treatment.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll often find her on a nature walk, getting creative with art and DIY projects, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or heading back to Newcastle to spend time with her family.

She completed her Certificate in Early Childhood Education in 2018 and began working in the field in 2019, bringing with her a natural talent for making patients—especially children—feel calm, safe, and cared for.

Her passion for helping others shines through in everything she does, and she’s loving the opportunity to grow and learn in the world of orthodontics alongside our supportive team.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Kate enjoying time at the beach, catching up with friends and family, or seeking out great food.

Skye has plenty of experience serving and helping people through customer service over the years. She has a passion for helping people achieve the confident smile they deserve!

Currently, Skye is starting her Bachelor of Media and Communications, majoring in Public Relations at Macquarie University. She is excited to use the various marketing and technological knowledge she will learn in this degree and apply it to her work at Beachside Orthodontics.

On the weekends, Skye enjoys taking her dog Boogie to the beach and going to the gym.

Her passion is developing and learning new skills to assist in the process of patients achieving their dream smiles.

In 2020, Catie completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting, Certificate IV in Dental Radiology and is currently completing her Bachelor of Oral Health. Her enthusiasm for learning new skills has made her the ideal staff member to lead our 3D printing program at Beachside Orthodontics.

She enjoys all the challenges of new technology being incorporated into the practice to enhance the patient’s journey.

In her spare time, Catie enjoys going for road trips with her fiancé and friends, camping on the coast, and spending time at the beach.
