Orthodontic treatment for teens
The teenage years are the perfect time to straighten your smile. At Beachside Orthodontics, we have a number of discreet and convenient treatments that won’t get in the way of your teen’s active lifestyle.
Braces for teens
We use Lightforce 3D braces braces as the brand of choice at our practice and are in the top providers globally. Lightforce 3D allows us to create fully customised braces for your teen’s smile. This custom treatment is so efficient that it straightens smiles at least 25% faster than traditional metal braces.
Your teen can choose from metal or clear ceramic brackets for a discreet braces experience.
Aligners for teens
For another wonderfully discreet treatment option, we offer two choices of aligner treatment at Beachside Orthodontics: Invisalign® clear aligners and Spark aligners.
The smooth, clear plastic of the aligners provides a virtually-invisible treatment, and each set of aligners is custom-made for your teen’s exact smile.
Aligner treatment is also extremely convenient. Your teen can remove their aligners for sports, musical instrument practice or meal times.
*Invisalign® aligners are a registered medical device, you should always read and follow the label as well as the instructions of your treating orthodontist.

More solutions for your teen’s smile
Sometimes, we use functional appliances in conjunction with your teen’s braces or aligner treatment to help achieve the best results possible. Some of our treatments for teens include:
Carriere® appliance
This appliance is used to help prepare your teen’s smile for treatment with braces or aligners. A smooth clear appliance is fitted to the upper canine and first molar on each side of your teen’s mouth to address misalignments in their back teeth.
AdvanSync™/PowerScope
These appliances simultaneously correct malocclusions while advancing the jaw forward to help treat overbites. They are used in conjunction with braces treatment to speed up the treatment process.
TADs (temporary anchorage device)
TADs are tiny, metal dental implants that provide anchor points to attach elastics during braces treatment. This can provide extra force needed to guide the teeth into their desired positions.
Beneslider
This device is used with TAD's (temporary anchorage device) it helps guide the permanent first molars backwards to make more space for your teen’s teeth. It is an alternative to headgear and helps prevent the need for extractions. The Beneslider can be used in conjunction with braces or aligner treatment.
